United States Champion Damian Priest def. Sheamus & Jeff Hardy
United States Champion Damian Priest was at a major disadvantage in a Triple Threat Match, but he used the chaos to his advantage, defeating Sheamus and Jeff Hardy to retain his title.
Sheamus wanted to go after the champion by himself, clobbering Hardy out of the ring with a Brogue Kick at the bell. But Hardy quickly got back into the fray, taking out Priest with a dive on the arena floor.
The Celtic Warrior exerted his will from there, pummeling Priest and Hardy into the canvas. However, in the midst of delivering an Alabama Slam to The Charismatic Enigma, Sheamus lost his protective facemask, leaving his previously broken nose exposed. That gave Priest a target, and he took advantage by clutching at The Celtic Warrior’s face.
Priest launched Sheamus off the top rope and looked to have the three-count until Hardy came crashing down on him with a Swanton Bomb. The pace picked up from there, with all three Superstars throwing bombs at each other. Sheamus once again clocked Hardy with a Brogue Kick, but Priest caught The Celtic Warrior with a rollup to retain his title.
Priest embraced the legendary Hardy after the bell, while Sheamus seethed and stomped off in a rage.
