Never one to shy away from a victory lap, Adam Cole kicked off NXT to celebrate retaining the NXT Title against Tommaso Ciampa at TakeOver: Portland.
As The Undisputed ERA's lone remaining champion, The Panama City Playboy also confidently professed that Roderick Strong would put an end to The Velveteen Dream later tonight — only to be interrupted by His Purple Highness himself.
Talking over the Full Sail speakers, Dream told The Messiah of The Backbreaker to leave his UE allies behind for their highly anticipated clash later tonight, while Strong assured Dream that he'd wish he'd never came back to NXT once he was finished with him.

Jordan Devlin has the talent, and a mean streak — and that combination is going to make it difficult for any challenger to take away his NXT Cruiserweight Title.
Lio Rush, who earned an opportunity at The Irish Ace by knocking off Angel Garza, found that out first hand this week. The hard-hitting Devlin kept Rush on the mat for much of the bout, unable to get his offense off the ground.
The Man of The Hour eventually broke through with a spectacular avalanche poison rana followed by The Come-Up — but Devlin managed to drape his right boot on the bottom rope during the ensuing pin. Rush didn't waver, taking to the top rope in a bid for The Final Hour, but The Irish Ace rolled out of the way.
Blasting Rush with a massive headbutt and The Devlin Side, Devlin successfully finished off his foe.

Tommaso Ciampa came to NXT this week to deliver a message to Johnny Gargano, and an unfortunate Austin Theory was the vehicle for that message.
"All Day" arrived at Full Sail ostensibly for a match, but was interrupted by The Blackheart, who commandeered the ring with a microphone in hand, warning Theory that he shouldn't test him on this night.
Ciampa admitted that his tunnel vision — with his sights locked on taking "his life back" by reclaiming Goldie — distracted him from listening to his usual instincts, and thus he wasn't prepared for what Gargano did at TakeOver: Portland like he should have been.
Theory's patience for open mic night subsided, but he was met with a massive blow from Ciampa when he tried to cut The Blackheart off. He quickly became the target of Ciampa's rage, enduring a ruthless beatdown that saw him repeatedly thrown into the ringside barricade with reckless abandon.

Tag teams of NXT — consider yourselves warned.
The Grizzled Young Veterans followed a dominant showing against the team of Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde with an emphatic warning. After finishing off Mendoza with the Ticket to Mayhem, Zack Gibson announced he and James Drake would follow their impressive run through the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by taking over the black-and-gold brand's tag team division.
Given what we've seen in recent weeks from the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions — who could argue otherwise?

Can anyone stop the BroserWeights? The newly crowned NXT Tag Team Champions have been red-hot since their formation for The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and they still have yet to show any signs of slowing down.
Three days removed from their title-clinching victory over The Undisputed ERA at TakeOver: Portland, Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne picked up right where they left off against the no-nonsense pairing of Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan. They suffered the same fate as the rest of The BroserWeights' opponents, falling prey to Riddle & Dunne's unique combination of styles. Dunne splayed Lorcan's fingers before launching him into a ripcord knee from Riddle to put away the match.

The NXT faithful have often called for Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic to "fight forever," and they just might get their way.
Keith Lee was set to address Full Sail after retaining his NXT North American Title against The Rare Breed at TakeOver: Portland, but he was swiftly interrupted by the brash arrival of Kona Reeves. Big mistake.
Reeves was greeted with a massive pounce by The Limitless Superstar, who didn't take kindly to his company. In a matter of seconds, the bell sounded to kick off their match and Lee finished the job immediately with the Big Bang Catastrophe.
But Dijakovic didn't let Lee bask in the victory for long, saying he wasn't ready to move on despite not being able to dethrone The Limitless One. Lee said he'd be happy to take him on again if The Rare Breed could convince NXT General Manager William Regal to see things his way.

The "relaunch" of The Robert Stone Brand didn't exactly go according to plan, but it was still successful.
With some opportunistic help from Stone, Chelsea Green got retribution for Kayden Carter's upset victory last month, this time getting the better of her after hitting a reverse Unprettier.
But it was Bianca Belair's mid-match interruption that captivated everyone. With little regard for the bout taking place in front of her, The EST of NXT took over the ring to address Charlotte Flair, and didn't mince words. Still incensed by the disrespect from The Queen, who also targeted Belair during her post-match assault of Rhea Ripley at TakeOver: Portland, Belair challenged Flair to come meet her on her turf.

The Velveteen Dream didn't miss a beat in his first in-ring action in months, finally taking down Roderick Strong. But it was Strong and The Undisputed ERA ultimately having the last laugh and making Dream pay for his psychological warfare.
Renewing their rivalry in intense fashion, the foes' tensions boiled over into vicious blows in the match's closing moments until Dream was able to spike Strong with the Dream Valley Driver. With Dream poised to hit the Purple Rainmaker, The UE eventually disregarded Strong's edict to let him go it alone, appearing at ringside to momentarily occupy His Purple Highness's attention.
But Dream would not be rattled on his night. Thwarting the black-and-gold gang's attempted interference, he recovered quickly enough to hit Strong with a second Dream Valley Driver to put him away — and in style after a reveal of his latest sartorial spectacle, another pair of pants bearing the visage of Strong's wife, Marina Shafir.
However, The Undisputed ERA descended upon Dream and the scene quickly resembled little more than a back-alley mugging. Dream left as a winner, but also suffered Strong's End of Heartache as a parting gift.
