CHICAGO — Chalk it up to a rookie mistake. What looked like a sure win for Baron Corbin over Dolph Ziggler ended in defeat for the young upstart.

After Corbin demolished Ziggler toward the end of their clash, victory seemed imminent. But Corbin’s arrogance cost him when The Showoff rolled him up to score the pinfall.
The ending was the complete opposite of what transpired at WrestleMania 32, when the NXT Superstar scored a major victory in the 3rd annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
After exchanging attacks on each other in recent weeks, both Superstars were out to settle the score on the pay-per-view stage. With the WWE Universe behind him, Ziggler set to work against his near 300-pound opponent.
Things looked good for The Showoff when he locked Corbin in a sleeper, then blasted him with a hard-hitting Famouser. However, Corbin came right back, demolishing the two-time World Champion outside the ring with a brutal boot to the body, followed by smashing him face-first into the steel ring post.
After tossing Ziggler’s limp body in the ring, the rookie Superstar stepped on the back of Ziggler’s neck while he was down. The arrogant display proved to be his downfall when Ziggler quickly came to life and rolled Corbin up for what had to be a satisfying victory for The Showoff.
