Not only will the 6-foot-3, 220-pound recruit be part of The Ultimate Thrill Ride tonight, but he’ll have a chance to immortalize himself with a WrestleMania Moment should he win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Previous winners of the over-the-top-rope extravaganza include Cesaro (WrestleMania XXX), Big Show (WrestleMania 31) and Baron Corbin (WrestleMania 32).
Before signing a developmental contract with WWE last June, Bing trained for two years in Japan at the Inoki Genome Federation, a wrestling and mixed martial arts promotion founded by WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki. Upon joining WWE, he relocated to Orlando, Fla. to train at the WWE Performance Center. Last September, the young recruit competed in his home country at a WWE Live Event in Shanghai, then partnered with HoHo Lun during NXT’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic last fall.
Tian Bing joins the likes of Big Show, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley and Braun Strowman in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which will see more than two dozen Superstars vying to remain the last man in the ring. Will WWE’s first-ever Chinese recruit also become the first Chinese Superstar to win a match on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Find out tonight during the two-hour WrestleMania Kickoff, streaming live at 5 ET/2 PT on WWE Network. (The Kickoff can also be seen on WWE.com, the WWE App, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and Google+. The second hour of the Kickoff also airs live on USA Network.)
