IYO SKY: Bio

IYO SKY

There are plenty of high-flying Superstars, but there’s only one Genius of the Sky.

An aerial artist without a peer, IYO SKY first established herself when she touched down in NXT in the summer of 2018. Moonsaults, Hurricanranas, Springboard Dropkicks and gravity-defying trash can leaps were SKY’s stock-in-trade, and you’d expect nothing less from a Superstar who cited Rey Mysterio as her greatest inspiration.

SKY's NXT run was nothing short of dominant as she won the NXT Women's Championship, the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and was named Future Star of NXT, Female Competitor of the Year and Overall Competitor of the Year.

At SummerSlam 2022, the dangerous SKY emerged alongside Bayley and Dakota Kai as Damage CTRL and stood defiantly in the face of Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch. It wasn't long before the explosive high-flyer and Dakota overcame Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah to bring the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships into the nefarious faction.

At WWE Money in the Bank 2023, SKY ascended to a whole new level when she won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. She cashed in the coveted contract to defeat Bianca Belair just moments after The EST of WWE overcame Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a WWE Women's Championship Triple Threat Match at SummerSlam.

Already a holder of the elusive Women's Triple Crown, the legend of SKY continued to grow as she stunned Rhea Ripley on the March 3, 2025 edition of Raw to win the Women's World Title.

Cliché though it may be, the sky truly is the limit for the Japanese Superstar, and we all have a front-row seat to her air show.
