Jey Uso: Bio

Jey Uso

YEET!

Twin sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and members of the legendary Anoa'i family, Jey Uso and his brother Jimmy bubbled under the radar for years as a workhorse tag team in WWE before finally hitting the big time while embracing their Samoan heritage. The brothers repeatedly took to the skies in bright colors, flying tassels and dazzling war paint, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship and Slammy for Tag Team of the Year on more than one occasion.

But eventually faced with a crop of new tag teams to overcome, The Usos soon decided they were “done with all that” and went back to basics. No more paint, no more screaming. Black T-shirt, black hoodies and a one-way ticket to the Uso Penitentiary.

Over time, The Usos became one of the most dynamic and ruthless tag team show ever stepped in WWE, a tandem that brought the crowd to its feet with their skills virtually every time they entered the ring, including throughout an epic rivaly with The New Day. Together, there is little The Usos couldn't do, being together since Day One!

Nevertheless, in spite of his tag team greatness, Jey Uso reached his greatest notoriety in his association with his cousin Roman Reigns. Following a highly personal feud with The Big Dog, Jey was eventually subjected by the "Head of the Table." Since then, Jey became completely unhinged, delivering numerous attacks at the behest of Reigns and becoming "Main Event" Jey Uso thanks to numerous main event showdowns on SmackDown.

Then, when his brother Jimmy returned from injury, The Usos overcame Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Money in the Bank to once again claim the SmackDown Tag Team Title as eight-time Tag Team Champions.

After one of the longest tag team title reigns of all time, The Usos were defeated by Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 39 in the main event of Night One. This defeat would anger The Tribal Chief, opening a chasm that would eventually lead to The Usos splitting off from Reigns. At WWE Money in the Bank 2023, The Usos emerged victorious against Reigns & Solo Sikoa in The Bloodline Civil War, as Jey became the first Superstar to pin Reigns in three years.

Since defecting from The Bloodline, Jey made new allies, including with Cody Rhodes, and had emotional battles with his brother Jimmy. He also proved that he was ready for the main event as he captured the Intercontinental Champion and later the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41, becoming another member of his legendary family to capture a World Title.

No one in WWE has more aura than Jey Uso and it shows every single night when he enters through the crowd with the masses YEETing their hearts out for the beloved Superstar.
