IYO SKY: Bio

IYO SKY

There are plenty of high-flying Superstars, but there’s only one Genius of the Sky.

An aerial artist without a peer, IYO SKY first established herself when she touched down in NXT in summer 2018. Moonsaults, hurricanranas, springboard dropkicks and gravity-defying trash can leaps were SKY’s stock-in-trade, and you’d expect nothing less from a Superstar who cited Rey Mysterio as her greatest inspiration.

SKY's NXT run was nothing short of dominant, as she captured the NXT Women's Championship, NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, and the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag team Classic among other accolades. When it came time for SKY to jump to WWE, though, she did not come alone.

At SummerSlam 2022, the dangerous SKY emerged alongside Bayley and Dakota Kai as Damage CTRL, and it wasn't long before the nefarious faction held the Women's Tag Title gold. The rise of SKY continued at Money in the Bank 2023, when she won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, leading to her successfully cashing in on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam 2023 to win the WWE Women's Championship. SKY added a second reign to her resume in March 2025 with a victory over Rhea Ripley before a career-defining title defense at WrestleMania 41 in a Triple Threat Match against bother Belair and Ripley.

Cliché though it may be, the sky truly is the limit for the Japanese Superstar, and we all have a front-row seat to her air show.
