Experience The Hurricane

Experience The Hurricane

It's been nearly two years since Gregory Helms has been referred to as Raw's resident superhero, The Hurricane. However, the sidelined SmackDown Superstar doesn't mind talking to WWE 24/7 Online about one of The Hurricane's biggest accomplishments.

Considering Gregory Helms is the last person to score a pin-fall on The Rock on national television, do you blame him? According to Helms, "It's just another notch in the belt for WWE's best kept secret."

After years of waiting, 24/7 Online subscribers can once again revisit that moment the best kept secret scored one of the biggest upsets in WWE history. Also included with the footage of this classic match are all three locker-room encounters between The Rock and The Hurricane.  In fact, just ask Helms himself and he'll tell you how significant this contest still is.

"This match and these confrontations are regarded as some of the best in WWE television history," Helms told WWE.com exclusively.

Not only was this rivalry a landmark moment for the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion, it was also The Hurricane's very first Raw main event; something that only a handful of WWE Superstars have experienced.

"I remember being excited and nervous, but I felt like I belonged there," Helms said in retrospect. "I had no trepidation. As soon as my music hit I was ready."

Although he comes across sounding cocky as usual, Gregory Helms admits he is excited for WWE fans to be able to relive this classic match.  In fact, while out of action, Helms has enjoyed reviewing matches like this because it's always a reminder of just how good he is…not that Gregory would forget -- or let WWE.com forget either.

And in case you were wondering about Helms' recovery, he wants every WWE fan to know, "It's a slow process but I'm maintaining. It'll take more than a broken neck to keep Gregory Helms down!"
