Enzo Amore & Big Cass def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (Kickoff Match)
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Six nights after Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson laid out Enzo Amore with the Magic Killer, “Muscles Marinara” and the 7-foot Big Cass got some all-too-appropriate retribution against the so-called “good brothers” in the WWE Payback Kickoff Match.
Although the aggressive Gallows & Anderson impressively utilized divide-and-conquer tactics to keep Enzo on the defensive and isolated from his hulking partner, Big Cass turned the tide in a major way by overpowering the former Raw Tag Team Champions, hitting Gallows with the Empire Elbow and two big splashes in the corner. Anderson saved Gallows from a third collision, pulling his partner away from the corner and forcing Cass to eat turnbuckle and a superkick.
Dazed but definitely not “sawft,” Cass tagged Enzo back in, and although Gallows & Anderson attempted to hit Amore with a second Magic Killer in less than a week, Cass took out Anderson with his signature Big Boot, which allowed Enzo to roll up Gallows — the legal man — for the three-count.
With a victory over the former Raw Tag Team Champions, Enzo & Cass could be closing in on the titles. Will the talkative tandem soon become The Realest Champions in the Room?
