CHICAGO - Enzo Amore suffered a concussion at WWE Payback during the tag team match to determine the No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The injury occurred when Amore, fighting The Vaudevillains alongside his partner Big Cass, looked to be sliding under the bottom rope. Instead, his face clipped the bottom rope, causing the back of his head to slam off the mat. The collision appeared to knock out Amore, who collapsed onto the floor just outside the ring. WWE medical personnel quickly examined him and wheeled him to the back on a stretcher. Amore was then rushed to a local medical facility, where he underwent testing and was diagnosed with a consussion before being discharged.
