NXT Tag Team Champions Dash & Dawson vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
Winning the NXT Tag Team Championship won’t be Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady’s only motivation when they face titleholders Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson in a title match at NXT TakeOver: London. Though a title win would mark a milestone for the longtime friends and tag partners, Amore & Cassady are every bit as interested in scoring retribution as they are in the tag team gold.

Amore & Cassady already knows what it means to defeat Dash & Dawson; they did just that on the Oct. 21 edition of WWE NXT, surprising the rugged duo with a pinfall win. In response, a disgruntled Dash & Dawson brutally blindsided the team a week later. During the blitz, Cassady suffered an MCL sprain and bone bruise in his knee that kept him on the sidelines for more than a month. While Cassady recuperated, Dash & Dawson quickly ascended in NXT’s packed tag division, dethroning The Vaudevillains for the twin titles.
On the Nov. 25 edition of NXT, Amore & Cassady finally returned with a bang, going after Dash & Dawson after the champions’ successful title defense against The Vaudevillains. Now, Dash & Dawson and Amore & Cassady are fated for a long-awaited rematch. Which team will stand tall?
Dash & Dawson rank among NXT’s toughest, most rough-and-tumble throwbacks. They shun fan approval, instead focusing on new ways to remorselessly wrench foes’ knees and, in turn, enlarge their own bank accounts. Though Amore & Cassady lack the champions’ methodical callousness, the popular team has made the most of their straight-ahead fisticuffs, and they never back down from a fight.
Which team will help usher in a new era of tag team wrestling in NXT? Will Dash & Dawson clamp down on their challengers, maybe even worsening Cassady’s knee in the process? Or will the challengers, seeing red, unseat the titleholders?
Watch the NXT Tag Team Championship clash play out at NXT TakeOver: London, which airs live, only on the award-winning WWE Network, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.
