Jushin 'Thunder' Liger vs. Tyler Breeze
International Superstar Jushin “Thunder” Liger will make his first-ever appearance in a WWE ring at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn when he steps between the ropes to face Tyler Breeze at the live WWE Network special.
Finding himself outside of the NXT Championship picture heading into the Aug. 22 spectacular at the Barclays Center, Prince Pretty pestered NXT General Manager William Regal for weeks, demanding a high-profile match in Brooklyn. Regal promised that he was working on something special for the gorgeous Superstar, but warned him to be careful what he wished for.

Regal revealed his plans for Breeze on the Aug. 5 edition of NXT, when he announced that Prince Pretty will go toe-to-toe with Liger at TakeOver! Breeze seemed satisfied with the bout, later promising to ruin the legendary grappler’s WWE debut.
Breeze faces his biggest test yet in Liger, a grappler with four decades of in-ring experience. Liger helped usher in the high-flying style of wrestling in the early 1990s, and is credited with the invention of the Shooting Star Press. His rivalry with Brian Pillman in WCW produced several matches that are regarded as classics to this day. Now, he brings his hard-hitting, high-flying style to NXT.
