Tommaso Ciampa has gone radio silent since revealing why he turned his back on Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Chicago — until now.

Like Gargano, Ciampa is out of action for an unknown amount of time due to injury, but he still couldn’t help but throw salt in the wound of his former #DIY teammate Thursday on Twitter.

Hijacking the hashtag #NationalBestFriendsDay to a dubious end, Ciampa tweeted two contrasting photos of himself and Gargano. The first image shows Johnny Wrestling consoling Ciampa after Gargano defeated him in last year’s Cruiserweight Classic. The second photo, taken amid the unforgettable post-match attack in Chicago, shows a dazed Gargano, his head cradled on Ciampa’s lap, staring up at his onetime best friend in a state of disbelief.

Don’t expect Gargano to respond to Ciampa’s tweet anytime soon. As mum as Ciampa has been over the past week, Gargano’s been practically unheard from since TakeOver, with reports only indicating that he refuses to speak with anybody following Ciampa’s betrayal.
