NXT Women’s Champion Asuka waiting on worthy challenger before making her next appearance on NXT
With NXT Women’s Champion Asuka outlasting Nikki Cross on the June 28 episode of NXT in a grueling Last Woman Standing Match, what’s next for the record-breaking titleholder?
According to The Empress of Tomorrow’s Twitter account, she doesn’t seem to be in any rush to get back in the squared circle on Wednesday nights until someone finds her an “worthy opponent."
Still unstoppable, still untouchable, still undefeated. I'll be back to @WWENXT once you find a worthy opponent! #AndStill pic.twitter.com/uLp31lNArn

After conquering her latest challenger last week on NXT, the cocky champion proudly rejoiced in the fact that she is still undefeated. And it appears there may be some time before Asuka is back on WWE Network’s Wednesday night staple. Unless, of course, a “worthy” opponent soon makes herself known.
Who will be the next person to try to dethrone Asuka? And how long will it take to find a challenger that can meet Asuka’s expectations?
Tune in every Wednesday night at 8/7 C on the award-winning WWE Network to get the latest on Asuka and her NXT Women’s Championship.
