Ilja Dragunov def. Wes Lee
The Mad Dragon is one step closer to realizing his dream as NXT Champion as he defeated Wes Lee to become the No. 1 Contender to face Carmelo Hayes at NXT No Mercy.
The two competitors left it all in the ring as they exchanged their signature offense like chops, splashes, and even a suplex from Ilja Dragunov to Lee on the announce table.
In the end, Dragunov came away the victor after vicious shots from both Superstars, punching his ticket to NXT No Mercy for a date with NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Title.
Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, & Damon Kemp def. Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, & Myles Borne
Six-man tag team action pitted the teams of Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, and Damon Kemp against Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, & Myles Borne, but in the end it became four on two as Myles Borne chose to side with Gulak.
The action was fast and furious as Borne worked seamlessly with Briggs & Jensen, but he suddenly turned on them and sent Jensen into the post, allowing Kemp to pick up the victory.
Lyra Valkyria def. Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke’s losing streak will continue as she lost a hard-fought one-on-one match to Lyra Valkyria.
Brooke dumped Valkyria on her head, but the Irish Superstar rallied in a big way and fed off of the NXT Universe to hit a huge roundhouse kick.
Valkyria then scaled the ropes, hit a flying splash, and secured her major victory over Brooke.
Tyler Bate def. Axiom
The Big Strong Boi is nearing the top of the leaderboard of Group A in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational after a gutsy victory over Axiom.
Axiom didn’t give Tyler Bate an inch to work, catching the English Superstar with several stunning counters and even hitting a Superplex.
Bate finally put Axiom away with a Bop and Bang followed up by a Tyler Driver 97, earning himself his first points in the Global Heritage Invitational.
The Creed Brothers def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé
The Creed Brothers are reinstated in NXT and back to their winning ways as they dispatched the team of Malik Blade and Edris Enofé in tag team action.
Blade and Enofé looked stellar early on, using their high-flying skills to keep the Creeds off-balance, but it wasn’t long until the pedigree of Brutus and Julius shined through.
Julius hit an incredible rolling Spinebuster and it set them up for a picture-perfect Brutus Ball to pick up the pinfall victory.
Nathan Frazer def. Akira Tozawa
Group B in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational is heating up as Nathan Frazer is climbing the leaderboard thanks to another victory, this time over Akira Tozawa.
Frazer’s been on a mission to reclaim his Heritage Cup, and his win over Tozawa puts him in prime position to win Group B.
Becky Lynch def. Tiffany Stratton to win the NXT Women’s Championship
The Man came to NXT and she left with gold as Becky Lynch stunned Tiffany Stratton and dethroned her to win the one title that’s eluded her in her storied career.
Stratton held her own, even going as far as mocking the iconic Superstar while hitting her signature offense.
A Swanton Bomb from the champion nearly won the match, but Lynch lived up to her reputation by locking in the Disarm-Her, only for Stratton to counter it herself.
Lynch hit two leg drops, one of them on the announce table, but it still wasn’t enough to put away the champion.
Finally, Lynch countered the Prettiest Moonsault Ever into the Man-Handle Slam and she became the new NXT Women’s Champ.
