Mustafa Ali def. Axiom
Mustafa Ali sent a message to the NXT locker room with a decisive victory over the high-flying Axiom to kick-off NXT.
SCRYPTS appeared at ringside during the match alongside Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, but swiftly left after attempting to intimidate SCRYPTS former partner.
Both Superstars were perched on the top rope and seemingly instinctively, Ali grabbed Axiom’s mask and nearly ripped it off, allowing him time to shove Axiom off the top rope and hit the 450 Splash for the win.
Blair Davenport def. Kelani Jordan
Despite the fight shown by Kelani Jordan, Blair Davenport got back to her winning ways by brutalizing the athletic newcomer.
Jordan looked impressive, countering nearly everything that the brutal Davenport threw at her, but one double stomp to the spine changed the complexion of the match entirely.
Dana Brook could only look on as Jordan was left down and one devastating knee strike was all it took as Davenport walked out as the victor.
Tyler Bate def. Noam Dar
Noam Dar is once again cupless as Tyler Bate defeated him and took what the Meta-Four called the rightful NXT Heritage, despite the fact that Nathan Frazer is the true champion.
After a scoreless first period, Bate took the first fall by hitting a Tyler Driver 97, much to the shock of the rest of the Meta-Four.
The third period ended without a fall, but a knee bar from Dar in the 4th tied it up at one apiece.
The fifth and final round went to Bate as The Big Strong Boi as he masterfully countered Dar’s knee bar, rolled him up, and stole the cup from right under his nose.
Bron Breakker def. Von Wagner
Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker had to dig deep in order to beat Von Wagner, but it came at a cost.
Wagner looked as impressive as he has during his time in NXT, but as he went for a fireman’s carry, Breakker countered into a rib-shattering Spear to earn the victory.
However, after the match, Wagner made good on his promise and put Breakker through the announce table.
Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey def. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen
The mat technicians Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey picked up a major tag team victory by defeating the brawling team of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.
Briggs and Jensen had a clear power advantage and used it perfectly as Briggs tossed around both Gulak and Dempsey with ease.
The action became so chaotic where all four Superstars were on the outside and while the referee was distracted, Damon Kemp appeared and attacked Jensen, which allowed Dempsey to toss him in the ring and hit a bridged suplex to win the match.
Kiana James def. Ivy Nile
Without The Creed Brothers, Ivy Nile is still trying to find herself, but it’ll have to wait after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Kiana James.
As Nile worked James over, Schism appeared and surrounded the ringside area, confusing Nile and leaving an ominous presence in the match.
James ended the match with an innovative face buster that connected her right knee with Nile’s head.
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio def. Dragon Lee
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio is still the NXT Champion, but he was in for the fight of his life against Dragon Lee with his father Rey Mysterio in Lee’s corner.
Lee looked phenomenal early on, using his electric lucha skills to keep Mysterio off-balance and put a significant amount of fear into the eyes of WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley.
Mysterio got more desperate as the match went along and even tried to get himself disqualified but his father intervened. However, the chaos allowed Ripley to hit Lee with her title, allowing Dom to steal the victory.
