Keith Lee relinquished the NXT North American Title
Wanting to create more opportunities for other Superstar like the ones he has seized in recent months, NXT Champion Keith Lee relinquished the North American Title. Additionally, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that the next North American Champion will be determined in a Ladder Match at TakeOver XXX featuring Superstars who qualify through a series of Triple Threat Matches in coming weeks.
Dexter Lumis def. Killian Dain
The impressive wins are piling up for NXT's "Tortured Artist." This time, Dexter Lumis took down perhaps his strongest adversary yet in a hard-hitting bout, delivering a Uranage right into the Kata Gatame for a victory via technical submission.
Breezango def. Ever-Rise
Breezango's fashion of the week was reminiscent of a WWE Superstar of yesteryear: The Mountie. It was also fitting against Quebecers Matt Martel and Chase Parker of Ever-Rise, who were taken down swiftly after Tyler Breeze & Fandango hit Supermodel Kicks in stereo on Parker.
Shotzi Blackheart def. Aliyah w/Robert Stone
Shotzi Blackheart not only took out Aliyah with a top-rope senton, but she once again became the bane of Robert Stone's existence, running over his good leg with her tank. But she also ate a massive boot to the face out of nowhere from Mercedes Martinez, who agreed to join The Robert Stone Brand later in the evening.
Bronson Reed def. Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano to earn a spot in the North American Title Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver XXX
NXT's resident Thicc Boi just might be the next North American Champion. Bronson Reed became the first Superstar to earn a spot in the Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver XXX, taking down two former champions in Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong to get there. Gargano and Strong forged a temporary alliance to target the much larger Reed, but they could only sideline him momentarily. The Aus-zilla dug deep, flattening Strong with a massive splash for a victory that left Gargano in disbelief.
Timothy Thatcher def. Oney Lorcan
Oney Lorcan sought retribution against Timothy Thatcher after Thatcher claimed a win over Lorcan at NXT's Great American Bash and refused to break the Fujiwara Armbar after the bell. In tonight's rematch, Thatcher used underhanded tactics, including a fishook and a handful of Lorcan's tights for leverage, to get the win.
Karrion Kross def. Dominik Dijakovic
Karrion Kross, who has blazed a path of destruction since arriving at NXT, faced his toughest challenge yet in Dominik Dijakovic, who used a spirited effort to rattle the undefeated Superstar in a way that hasn't been seen. But Kross rendered The Rare Breed mostly helpless when he blasted the steps into Dijakovic before dragging him back into the ring for more pummeling. With a concerned Keith Lee looking on at ringside, Kross mercilessly defeated the NXT Champion's good friend with the Kross Jacket before he and Lee exchanged cold glares.
