Drew McIntyre def. Sheamus (No Holds Barred Match)
Drew McIntyre has erased any doubt that he’s ready for WrestleMania, prevailing in a grueling No Holds Barred Match over former friend Sheamus at WWE Fastlane.
Appropriately clad with Scottish warpaint across his face, McIntyre was prepared for the epic clash that ensued, fueled by the emotions of a former 20-year friendship.
The two warriors dismantled the ringside area almost immediately as the ring was unable to contain their conflict. McIntyre sought to use a Kendo stick, only to eat it courtesy of Sheamus Brogue Kicking it straight into his face.
The brawl spilled throughout the WWE ThunderDome, with McIntyre sending The Celtic Warrior through a set of LED screens, causing sparks to fly. Sheamus fought back though, screaming that McIntyre stole his WrestleMania opportunity before planting him through the announce table with White Noise.
The No. 1 Contender to the WWE Championship defiantly fought back as the action returned to the ring, spiking Sheamus with the Future Shock DDT into rubble from the announce table. Following immediately after with the Claymore, McIntyre finally put Sheamus away and cleared the path for his WWE Title Match against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.
