In a surprise move, Miz asked to start the bout for his team, but instead of engaging his opponent straightaway, the Intercontinental Champion picked up the mic to take issue with Finn Bálor. Unfortunately for him, Bálor wasn’t in the mood to wait, and he promptly attacked The A-Lister. Nevertheless, Miz insisted on staying in the match, and a fed-up Asuka jumped into the ring and read her partner the riot act before eventually tagging herself into the action.
When the female Superstars went to war, Banks made the mistake of slapping Asuka, and The Empress of Tomorrow returned the favor before following up with a series of “It” Kicks. This onslaught incensed The Boss, and she used her aggression to gain control in a display of brutal force.
As the bout rolled on, Bálor soon took charge, forcing Asuka to break up his pin attempt on Miz and bringing Banks into the action to deliver a counterattack. This opened the door for The Boss and Bálor to deliver a fierce assault outside the ring.
Once the action returned to the canvas, Banks prevented a three-count, but when Bálor took control and executed the breath-taking Coup de Grace, Asuka once again stopped her A-List partner from getting beat. Sasha made her pay for it with a vicious Backstabber into the Bank Statement. Taking her lead, Bálor locked The Miz in his own version of The Bank Statement. Asuka escaped Sasha’s clutches and trapped The Boss in the Asuka Lock, the non-legal Sasha tapped, and the distraction allowed Miz to roll up his opponent for the epic victory!
The win brings the “Team Awe-ska” one step closer to winning $100,000 for their charity partner, Rescue Dogs Rock. "The Boss Club" earn $10,000 for their charity the Special Olympics.
Next week, Braun Strowman & Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will battle Jimmy Uso & Naomi. Don’t miss a moment of the action as the second round of WWE Mixed Match Challenge continues, next Tuesday at 10 ET/7 PT on Facebook Watch.
