The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2004 was introduced during WrestleMania XX. The inductees were: Superstar Billy Graham, Junkyard Dog, Sgt. Slaughter, Big John Studd, Tito Santana, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Bobby "the Brain" Heenan, Harley race, Don Muraco, Jesse "the Body" Ventura and Pete Rose.
WrestleMania XX marked just the fifth time a WWE Champion successfully defended his championship.
After an extended absence, Paul Bearer returned to WWE at WrestleMania XX.
