SummerSlam returned to the City of Angels and the STAPLES Center for the third consecutive year in 2011 with a lineup of historic proportions. In the main event, the two Superstars who laid claim to the WWE Championship, John Cena and CM Punk, battled to crown an undisputed champion, with Triple H serving as guest referee. The heated rivalry between World Heavyweight Champion Christian and Randy Orton reached its boiling point at SummerSlam, with the two butting heads in a No Holds Barred Match for the title.
