SummerSlam 2001

The 2001 edition of SummerSlam was purely focused on the intense rivalry between WWE and The Alliance of WCW and ECW. In front of a raucous crowd in San Jose, Calif., The Rock battled Booker T for the WCW Championship, while turncoat “Stone Cold” Steve Austin defended his WWE Title against Kurt Angle. The Undertaker was joined by Kane in his quest for vengeance against DDP and Kanyon inside a steel cage, while high-flyers Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam clashed in a dream Ladder Match for the WWE Hardcore Championship.
