“We did it!” The Showoff says to the WWE Universe in San Jose, Calif.
Ziggler put his career on the line for a chance at the Intercontinental Championship and defeated The Miz at No Mercy.
The Miz and Maryse arrive.
“I want to take a moment to mourn the death of the Intercontinental Championship,” The Miz says.
The A-Lister says he was the one who brought prestige back to the Intercontinental Title, and Ziggler’s victory is a “funeral” for its legacy.
“Now I want my gold back,” The Miz says.
Ziggler shows footage of their match’s finish and asks The Miz if he was crying.
“You think this is funny? It’s not funny!” The Miz says.
“I’m not done with you and neither are they,” The Miz says, prompting Mikey and Kenny of The Spirit Squad to return.
They announce that Ziggler is going to face them in a Handicap Match.
