SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Jan. 14, 2016

What will happen when the Lunatic comes calling?
WWE.com has learned that Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose will kick off tonight’s SmackDown with some sort of special announcement on its permanent home, USA Network. Although it’s never 100 percent clear what the outrageous titleholder will bring to the table, there is little doubt that it will have something to do with his ongoing brawl-fest against Kevin Owens — a rivalry that reached new heights on Monday night.
It also may have something to do tonight’s explosive tag team showdown in which The Lunatic Fringe will join forces with Neville against Owens & Sheamus as part of SmackDown’s triple main event! With so much uncertain, one thing is for sure, wherever Ambrose goes, chaos will follow, and the WWE Universe definitely will want to follow along with this one.
SmackDown, get the table!
Tonight on USA Network, as part of SmackDown’s triple main event, The Dudley Boyz will go to war against The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in a Tables Match.
Even though the ruthless brutality of The Wyatts is well established, you have to question their willingness to go into a match basically owned by Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. On the other hand, the fact that Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt will surely not be too far away may actually give the forces of darkness a distinct advantage. Either way, the forecast for the epic, extreme contest calls for carnage.
A United States Title change
Lucha! Lucha! Lucha! On Monday, Kalisto scored the biggest win of his career, when he bested Alberto Del Rio to capture the United States Title. While WWE.com learned earlier that Del Rio will recapture that title on SmackDown with a little help from his friends as part of the triple main event, how exactly it went down is still unclear. Tune in tonight at 8/7 C to find out.
Will the Social Outcasts remain obscure?
We live in interesting times. Bo Dallas, Adam Rose, Heath Slater & Curtis Axel have emerged as one of the most unique groups in recent memory.
But while their rambles may at first appear to be something to laugh at, should the locker room be taking them seriously? Could they ultimately assert themselves as a powerhouse — much like WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day did back when everyone was laughing at them?
Perhaps the answer will come tonight, when The Social Outcasts are put to the test against another unlikely foursome in the combination of Goldust, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder & Damien Sandow.
Will Becky unleash another Irish Lass Kicking?
Becky Lynch fired back at Divas Charlotte’s recent aggression on Monday, interrupting the titleholder’s match against Brie Bella to unleash an assault of pure payback. The Irish Lass Kicker has promised to take Charlotte’s title, but how will Becky’s newfound aggression affect her match against Brie tonight on SmackDown? And will Charlotte and her father, the dirtiest player in the game Ric Flair, be on hand to dish-out some payback of her own.
