Undertaker wins the Royal Rumble Match
The Royal Rumble Match featured a number of firsts, but the most prominent was the name of the winner. In his eighth attempt, Undertaker finally won his first Royal Rumble Match, last eliminating Shawn Michaels to secure a championship match in the main event of WrestleMania 23.

The personal rivalry between MNM and The Hardys saw another brutal battle in the ongoing war, with Matt and Jeff picking up the victory over Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury to kick off the 20th Royal Rumble event.
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Test (Countout)
