The Royal Rumble returned to Fresno, Calif., on Jan. 30, 2005. For the first time since the 1994 contest, the 30-man Rumble ends with co-winners, John Cena and Batista. That is, until WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon set a new precedent by ordering the match to restart, eventually leading to a victory for Batista.

Finalists John Cena and Batista battled, with the Cenation leader trying to execute the Attitude Adjustment on The Animal.
After both men's feet hit the floor at the same time, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon ordered the match to restart. In his rush to issue the verdict, The Chairman tore both of his quadriceps.
Batista eventually launched Cena over the top rope.
