Bobby Lashley def. Seth “Freakin” Rollins to retain the United States Championship
Bobby Lashley has been defending the United States Championship in stellar matches for nearly two months, and this one was no different.
Early in the match, Seth “Freakin” Rollins went for the Stomp, but Lashley shrugged it off by preventing him from fully driving Lashley into the mat.
Rollins showcased a magnitude of strength of his own, planting Lashley with the buckle bomb.
As Lashley was about to Spear The Visionary out of his boots, Rollins shockingly countered with a wicked Pedigree, earning a close two-count.
Matt Riddle suddenly charged the ring and provided a distraction, which allowed Lashley to hit the decisive Spear on Rollins.
Belair, Bliss & Asuka interrupted Damage CTRL’s celebration
Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory
KO once again looked to shut the mouth of Austin Theory, and the two went back and forth in a seesaw matchup.
Theory took a page from KO’s old book, attacking Owens on the outside before the bell.
KO fought back throughout the match, screaming “I’m your daddy!” to Theory and nearly hitting a top-rope moonsault before Theory connected with a superb blockbuster.
With Theory running his mouth, Theory’s former friend Johnny Gargano shocked Mr. Money in the Bank by appearing to steal the briefcase. In the fracas that followed, KO took advantage and hit Theory with the Pop-up Powerbomb to earn the victory.
The Brawling Brutes met The Street Profits
The Brawling Brutes def. The Street Profits
Just days before The Brawling Brutes clash with The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Team Titles on Friday, Ridge Holland & Butch went toe-to-toe with Raw’s Street Profits.
Butch once again showcased his animalistic attitude, kicking out of a pin by biting the ear of Angelo Dawkins.
The Profits gave The Brutes a strong fight, but the Brutes dug down deep and notched the win with a combination buzzsaw kick and powerslam. The Brutes will now head into their Friday's title clash with a big win.
The Judgment Day reveled in their recent actions
The Judgment Day def. Rey Mysterio & Matt Riddle
Finn Bálor and Damian Priest continued to revel in their vicious beatdown of Edge from last week, leading to an intense showdown against Rey Mysterio and Matt Riddle.
With Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio at ringside for The Judgment Day, Bálor and Priest had the upper hand numerically and mentally.
As Riddle was getting into a groove during the match, Priest attacked The Original Bro’s back with a vicious Chokeslam on the ring apron. Moments later, Rhea Ripley took matters into her own hands and dropped The Original Bro with a back suplex on the outside.
Just as Riddle had interfered in Rollins’ match earlier in the evening, The Visionary did the same to Rollins, taking Riddle out of the match.
After Rey Mysterio grabbed a steel chair to ward off Rollins, Dominik got down on his knees, offering his face for his father to hit him. Rey refused, but the commotion was enough for Bálor to win the match with a Coup de Grace.
Dexter Lumis again tried to abduct The Miz on “Miz TV”
Bayley def. Alexa Bliss
For the first time in more than two years, Bayley and Alexa Bliss faced each other in the ring. With plenty of history between the storied rivals, the two were vicious right from the get go.
With Bayley’s biting words earlier in the evening getting to Bliss, The Goddess showed a more vicious side than what we’ve seen since she returned.
Bliss also showed resilience after she tweaked her knee outside of the ring. The Role Model was relentless in her attack on Bliss’ knee and thought she had the match won with the Bayley to Belly, but The Goddess kicked out.
Bayley overcame arguably her most fierce nemesis with the Rose Plant.
After the match, Bayley finally challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Extreme Rules.
