The Rock told Cody Rhodes their story was just getting started
Ilja Dragunov def. Shinsuke Nakamura
In a shock befitting the Raw after WrestleMania, NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov battled Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time ever.
With Dragunov declared eligible for the 2024 WWE Draft, The Czar of NXT looked to showcase his abilities, taking out Nakamura with a Constantine Special.
The King of Strong Style used his feet to try to subdue Dragunov, but the NXT Champion had too much resolve.
After an H-Bomb and a Torpedo Moscow, the NXT Champion won his first match on Monday Night Raw.
New World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and The Judgment Day celebrated their victories at WrestleMania XL
Awesome Truth & John Cena def. The Judgment Day
What began as 2-on-3 Handicap Match with new Raw Tag Team Champions Awesome Truth taking on The Judgment Day was turned on its head when John Cena arrived to team with R-Truth and The Miz!
Cena arrived like a house on fire, and all three team members hit a triple Five Knuckle Shuffle — or rather a Fifteen Knuckle Shuffle — before a triple Attitude Adjustment to win the match.
Roxanne Perez def. Indi Hartwell
New NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez became another surprise of the evening, facing Indi Hartwell, the Superstar who won the NXT Women's Title a year ago at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 when Perez had to vacate her title.
Perez would not forgive and forget, telling Hartwell she never deserved to be champion.
Candice LeRae tried to help Hartwell, who used underhanded tactics. Hartwell was not pleased with this, telling her tag team partner to back off, but this gave Perez the time to hit Pop Rox to win the match.
Sami Zayn was interrupted by Imperium during his return to Raw as the new Intercontinental Champion
Sami Zayn & Chad Gable def. Imperium
New Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn teamed with his WrestleMania XL coach Chad Gable to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, who were not pleased that their leader Gunther lost to Zayn on WrestleMania XL Saturday.
Gable seemed out for the count after Vinci and Kaiser hit a European uppercut powerbomb combo, but Zayn saved the day.
Gable and Zayn got back into the affair with tandem German suplexes and an exploder suplex from Zayn.
After a Helluva Kick from Zayn and a Chaos Theory Suplex from Gable to Vinci, Zayn and Gable walked out the winners.
Jade Cargill def. Chelsea Green
Despite wanting her own moment to shine, Chelsea Green was met by Jade Cargill, who was coming off a Six-Woman Tag Team Match victory at WrestleMania XL against Damage CTRL.
Cargill made short work of Green, winning after hitting Jaded.
Drew McIntyre gave an irate rant
Jey Uso def. Drew McIntyre, Ricochet and Bronson Reed in a Fatal 4-Way Match to become No. 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Title; CM Punk once again cost Drew McIntyre
Despite holding the title for five minutes, 46 seconds at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre had a chance to get a rematch if he could win a Fatal 4-Way Match against Bronson Reed, Ricochet and Jey Uso.
Jey tried to spear Reed through the table, but Reed sent "Main Event" Jey through the splintered wood.
Ricochet and Uso hit Reed with superkicks before Jey drilled Reed with a Spear, but The Scottish Warrior saved the match.
With the match going into overdrive, Reed cleared the announce table, but it backfired as Ricochet hit a huge 450 Splash right onto Reed through the announce table!
Just as McIntyre was about to hit the Claymore on Jey, CM Punk once again cost McIntyre, preventing The Scottish Warrior from landing his finishing move. Uso then went airborne for the Uso Splash to become the new No. 1 Contender to World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.
