Kofi Kingston to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Title

For several weeks, The New Day have engaged in a heated rivalry with Imperium.

After Kofi Kingston unintentionally injured Giovanni Vinci in a tag team match at Raw Day 1, Ludwig Kaiser came for payback the following week and unleashed a vicious assault on the former WWE Champion. With Kofi out of action, Xavier Woods stepped in and battled Kaiser. The incensed Woods got disqualified in a ringside free-for-all that left him open to Kaiser's subsequent backstage attack.

Now Kofi is back and ready to continue his war with Imperium when he battles Gunther in a title showdown.
