Seth “Freakin” Rollins granted Sami Zayn a World Heavyweight Title opportunity
The Judgment Day def. The New Day
In a first-ever matchup, The Judgment Day reigned supreme on the day, besting The New Day in a high-stakes tag team match.
Despite putting up a great fight, The New Day fell to The Judgment Day after they used underhanded tactics followed by a South of Heaven/Coup de Grace combo on Xavier Woods to pick up the win.
Shinsuke Nakamura def. Akira Tozawa
Akira Tozawa gave his best effort against Shinsuke Nakamura but fell short. Tozawa looked great until he missed a Senton Bomb. Nakamura took advantage, finishing off the Alpha Academy hopeful with the Kinshasa.
The Miz emerged victorious in Fatal 4-Way Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contenders Match
“Big” Bronson Reed and Ivar dominated the match, taking out The Miz and Ricochet before colliding into each other and causing seismic shifts to happen across the arena.
As the match was reaching a fever pitch, both The Miz and Ivar had simultaneous pins on Reed and Ricochet. However, Ricochet was able to kick out, leaving The Miz as the definitive winner and the next in line to challenge Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
The Creed Brothers def. #DIY
Before the match, The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile signed their Raw contracts.
Unfortunately for #DIY, they were hampered by an Imperium interference, costing them the match. For the Creed Brothers, however, they are now 2-0 on the red brand.
Zoey Stark became the new Women’s World Title No. 1 Contender after winning a Battle Royal
As Becky Lynch was heading to the ring for the Battle Royal to determine the next challenger to Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley, she was brutally ambushed by Xia Li.
The unprovoked attack took Lynch and Li out of the running, with Li being ejected from the match by Adam Pearce.
Nikki Cross continued to unnerve her fellow competitors as well as Michael Cole and Corey Graves as she stood transfixed in front of them, not moving a muscle as the Battle Royal raged behind her. She would eventually be eliminated by Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax.
Jax dominated most of the match but was eventually tossed out by three competitors, leaving the final four as Ivy Nile, Rodriguez, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler.
Jax took out her frustrations on Nile, eliminating her after her own elimination in a despicable act.
Rodriguez tried hanging on, but only Stark and Baszler remained. Stark hit a huge DDT on the apron to eliminate Baszler and seal the victory.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins def. Sami Zayn to retain the World Heavyweight Title
The World Heavyweight Title was contested on Raw for the first time in more than five months, while Sami Zayn got his first chance at a world title since that fateful night in Montreal at WWE Elimination Chamber in February.
Zayn nearly ended Rollins’ reign after an almighty Blue Thunder Bomb, but The Visionary survived.
Survival ended up being Rollins’ MO, as he dispatched Zayn with a rollup after Rollins reversed a Boston crab into a pinfall.
Adam Pearce announced WarGames for Survivor Series!
