Raw results, May 11, 2020: Orton challenges Edge to a wrestling match
The next chapter in the rivalry between Randy Orton and Edge may be written on The Viper’s terms. Perhaps looking to take advantage of what he sees as The Rated-R Superstar’s “ring rust,” Orton challenged his former partner to a wrestling match at WWE Backlash. Also, Becky Lynch revealed that she is pregnant, and the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match was actually for her Raw Women’s Championship.

Becky Lynch revealed she is pregnant and Asuka is the Raw Women’s Champion
The Man is becoming The Mom.
Lynch made two stunning announcements to kick off Raw: She’s pregnant, and stepping away from the squared circle, and that she asked WWE officials to make last night’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the Raw Women’s Title. The Man opened Asuka’s briefcase, revealing the title, which now belongs to The Empress of Tomorrow.
Bobby Lashley def. Humberto Carrillo in a No Disqualification Match
In a wild battle that saw steel chairs come into play, The All Mighty picked Humberto Carrillo out of the sky and forced him to tap out to a fearsome Full Nelson.
Angel Garza def. Akira Tozawa
Though there seems to be some tension between Angel Garza and Austin Theory, Garza focused on picking up the victory over Akira Tozawa with the Wing Clipper, sending a message to Theory in the process.
Drew McIntyre def. Andrade in a Champion vs. Champion Match
After WWE Champion Drew McIntyre took out Austin Theory and Angel Garza with Claymores, United States Champion Andrade stepped up to McIntyre. Though Andrade certainly put in work, McIntyre emerged victorious after a Claymore.
The IIconics def. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Billie Kay & Peyton Royce made their return as surprise guests on “A Moment of Bliss,” immediately challenging Bliss & Cross for their titles. They didn’t get a title opportunity, but they did make the most of their match against the champions, pinning Bliss after a double-team slam to win their return bout.
R-Truth, Ricochet & Cedric Alexander def. MVP, Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink
Despite an assist from his alter ego, “Pretty Ricky,” which helped his team get the win, R-Truth did not end his night on good note. Bobby Lashley seemingly gave MVP an answer to the offer he presented earlier in the night, steamrolling over R-Truth and helping MVP demolish the former 24/7 Champion.
Rey Mysterio suffered an eye injury at the hands of Seth Rollins
What was supposed to be a tag team battle between Rey Mysterio & Aleister Black against Seth Rollins & Murphy came to a screeching halt when a previously catatonic Rollins brutally attacked Mysterio. The Monday Night Messiah zeroed in on the eye of the masked marvel, eventually grabbing Mysterio by the head and grinding his eye on the pointed edge of the steel ring steps.
The Street Profits def. The Viking Raiders 74-2 in a Basketball Game
The Viking Raiders can do anything better than The Street Profits, except hoop, it seemed. It took Erik & Ivar a few quarters to get the hang of basketball, but by then, it was too late, as Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins schooled them on the court.
However, after the buzzer, The Viking Raiders revealed that they let the Raw Tag Team Champions win, before Ivar put on an incredible display of long-range shooting, capped off with a monster slam dunk.
Shayna Baszler def. Natalya
After The Queen of Spades’ incendiary comments about Becky Lynch’s announcement, Natalya attempted to shut up Shayna Baszler, but the former cagefighter drilled Natalya with a kick to emerge victorious.
Randy Orton challenged Edge to a wrestling match
In the wake of his grueling Last Man Standing Match against Edge at WrestleMania, Randy Orton was looking to tilt the odds in his favor for the next chapter of their rivalry. Believing that The Rated-R Superstar still has some “ring rust,” The Viper wants to see what Edge can do with rules, without weapons and outside of a Royal Rumble.
Randy Orton wants to know if Edge has it in him to battle in a straight-up wrestling match, issuing a challenge for WWE Backlash. Edge, perhaps letting Orton get into his head, hesitated to give The Viper an answer, leaving the WWE Universe wondering if the next chapter in this legendary rivalry will be written.
