In a methodical and brutal beatdown, The Viper gets some much-needed retribution against Mr. Money in the Bank.

Monday Night Raw began with Randy Orton officially “rejoining” The Authority, but it ended with his dissension from the group and utter dismantling of Seth Rollins. However, what repercussions will The Viper face in response to his absolutely brutal assault on the “Future of WWE”?

Will Orton be ousted from WWE altogether? COO Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have been quick to drop the axe on those who have crossed them, firing the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, Ryback and even WWE Hall of Famer Booker T (for a moment, anyway). Why wouldn’t they release the serpentine Superstar, who has so clearly spat in their face not once, but twice? Then again, it’s worth mentioning that if they did fire him, it could serve to further fuel the turmoil. After all, Orton, job or no job, has never been one to accept the authority of others.

One might also speculate that a WrestleMania showdown between WWE’s Apex Predator and Mr. Money in the Bank is imminent. Considering how much the WWE Universe would enjoy such an encounter, it would certainly be “best for business.” Yet, after suffering such an onslaught, is Rollins even physically able to take on Orton by Sunday, March 29? Would The Authority instead punish Orton by putting him in a 4-on-1 Handicap Match against Big Show, Kane and J&J Security, a contest of vengeance well suited to The Showcase of the Immortals?

Or, not wanting to reward Orton for his conduct, would the powers-that-be elect to ban The Apex Predator from The Show of Shows altogether and instead concentrate on making his daily life in WWE a living hell by thrusting him into a series of impossible matches and overwhelming beatdowns?

There is, of course, one more possibility. What if Orton’s actions serve to finally show Triple H and Stephanie who the true “Face of WWE” has been all along? Orton was once their golden boy and could be again. Would they dump Rollins in favor of the 12-time World Champion? 

The Road to WrestleMania 31 rages on. How bumpy it’s going to get for Randy Orton is to be determined.
