Following the attack, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was stretchered from the ringside area and rushed to the trainer’s room, where he was evaluated by WWE medical personnel. According to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann, Bryan experienced weakness and numbness in both arms, prompting further testing at a nearby medical facility.
“As of the last examination, [Bryan] did have some residual weakness in his arms, however, we expect this to clear up relatively quickly,” Dr. Amann said. “Once he regains his full strength, he will be fully cleared for participation.”
Bryan is currently resting at home, but has said he plans on appearing next week on Raw. Stay with WWE.com for more updates on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s condition.
Following the vicious attack by The Devil's Favorite Demon, it was announced on SmackDown that Stephanie McMahon will be on Raw Monday night to publicly apology for what transpired.
