Michael Cole interviews John Cena: photos

"John, let's get to a point: Big Show knocked you out twice in a 24-hour period, but many say that pales in comparison to what happened last week ... now I believe that this all could have been prevented if you had done the right thing."

Cole says that Cena's desire to make jokes at John Laurinaitis' expense cost him the chance to save Big Show."

Cena replies, "Big show chose the easy way out ... Big Show turned his back on me, Big Show turned his back on [the WWE Universe]. That is fact."

John Laurinaitis arrives, informing Cena that since Big Show got to choose his own opponent the previous week, Cena will be given the same privilege.

The only exceptions: Big Show himself, who is not at Raw, and Laurinaitis, who has retired from one-on-one competition following his win at WWE Over the Limit.
