NXT Level Up results: "Stacks" gets an assist from D'Angelo to take down Mensah

Thea Hail doesn’t typically have an experience edge against her opponent, but she took full advantage of the chance to take the debuting Dani Palmer to school.

Palmer, however, was far from a pushover, as the fitness guru and former acrobatics and tumbling standout announced her presence with a pre-match backflip from the top rope and nearly scored the win when she got the better of a double crossbody that sent her opponent crashing to the canvas.

With the full support of Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and the Chase University student section, the ever-enthusiastic Hail rebounded with a standing enzuigiri followed by a match-clinching modified facebuster that gave Hail her fifth win in her last six matches on NXT Level Up.

Dante Chen def. Oba Femi

Oba Femi was impressive in his WWE debut from the moment he stepped through the curtains for his clash with fearsome striker Dante Chen.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder boasts an 800-pound deadlift and a 500-pound bench press, and his astonishing power was on full display when he rocked his foe with a nasty reverse elbow to the jaw and dropped him with a one-handed backbreaker.

Chen finally got rolling with a springboard clothesline from the top rope, but he was forced to land three consecutive chest strikes to finally subdue his towering opponent and secure the win. After the bell, Chen offered a handshake to Femi and raised his arm.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Oro Mensah

The WWE Universe received a treat in the main event clash between Oro Mensah and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, as the bout featured a little bit of everything: mat grappling, haymakers, counters and jaw-dropping aerial assaults.

Mensah nearly secured the win when he escaped a painful submission hold, landed a thunderous clothesline and soared through the air with a picture-perfect dropkick.

Tony D’Angelo, however, went to bat for his right-hand man, leaving his spot at the commentary table and jabbing Mensah in the chest with his crutch, giving “Stacks” the opening to use his knee to drive Mensah face-first into the canvas for the three-count.
