Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley def. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson via Submission
Now 12-0 on NXT Level Up, Ivy Nile continues to steamroll the competition, though this time, she was nice enough to allow fellow Diamond Mine member Tatum Paxley to share the glory.
Lash Legend, who notably clashed with previous tag team partners, seemed a bit more willing to play nice with Jakara Jackson, even holding Paxley in place so that Jackson could land several fists to the midsection.
Nile ignited the NXT Arena after receiving a tag, especially when she simultaneously clobbered Legend and Jackson with a boot to the chin and a fist to the face, respectively. Jackson nearly stole the win by rolling up Nile, but The Pitbull of Diamond Mine powered out, snatched Jackson in the Diamond Chain Lock and forced a quick tapout.
Javier Bernal def. Ikemen Jiro
For better or worse, Javier Bernal seems like a new man in recent weeks, routinely breaking the rules to enter the winner’s circle.
True to form, Ikemen Jiro smiled from ear to ear while engaging Bernal, outmaneuvering his opponent in the early goings and using his speed to land a nasty kick, a reverse elbow and several Jacket Punches.
Back on his heels after Jiro snared him in the tarantula and went for the Ikemen Slash, “Big Body Javi” ducked the feared kick, grabbed Jiro’s tights and kept his shoulders to the canvas for the three-count.
Odyssey Jones, Malik Blade & Edris Enofé def. Xyon Quinn, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima
If tonight’s main event is any indication, the WWE Universe is hoping that this won’t be the last time that Odyssey Jones joins forces with Malik Blade and Edris Enofé.
In a dizzying Six-Man Tag Team Match, the first in the history of the brand, Enofé used Jones as a springboard to come crashing down on Quinn, Price clobbered Enofé with a clothesline that echoed through the NXT Arena, and Jones nearly drove Price through the canvas with an innovative slam.
In the pivotal moments, Jones slammed Price into the mat, and Blade used the turnbuckle to stand atop Jones’ shoulders before soaring through the sky with a modified frog splash on Price for the 1-2-3.
