NXT Level Up results: May 19, 2023

Eddy Thorpe def. Kale Dixon

Arguably the most successful Superstar since the inception of NXT Level Up, Eddy Thorpe seems to be growing more confident by the day, and his clash with Kale Dixon immediately made for an intriguing matchup.

Despite scuffling for wins, Dixon remains one of the most arrogant Superstars in NXT, and his bluster was on display when he landed a nasty kick to the chest and went for a lackadaisical cover that produced a two-count.

Seemingly the humbler of the two competitors, Thorpe soon overwhelmed his opponent with kicks from every angle and sealed the three-count with a snap-German suplex and an elbow drop for the three-count.

Wendy Choo & Kelani Jordan vs. Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice

Though she’s known as The Sleepy Superstar, Wendy Choo was wide awake when Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice began bullying newcomer Kelani Jordan, whom Choo defeated in Jordan’s debut bout last week.

After Choo stood up for the rookie, the newly formed tandem went to battle with Lopez and Vice and showed immediate chemistry, particularly when Choo served as a springboard for Jordan to land a standing moonsault on Vice.

Lopez got her team back on track when she tagged in and unloaded on Jordan with several vicious stomps, but Jordan nevertheless fought through the pain and made a diving tag to Choo, who blasted both foes with a series of kicks. Moments later, Choo planted Vice with the decisive Snooze Button.

Luca Crusifino def. Dante Chen

For Luca Crusifino, the third time was the charm, as the newcomer claimed his first victory in his third career match and got past The Gatekeeper of NXT in one fell swoop.

Crusifino, who has turned heads thanks to his bizarre habit of passing out business cards on his way to the ring and competing in a business vest, a sleeveless white button-down shirt and a pink tie, was in dire straits when Dante Chen chucked him into the turnbuckles, ascended the second rope and landed 10 fists to the face.

Despite being staggered, Crusifino brought his briefcase into the ring, thumbed Chen in the eye when the official was removing the illegal object and rolled up his opponent for the win.
