NXT Level Up results: March 17, 2023

Lyra Valkyria def. Dani Palmer

Dazzling the WWE Universe from the moment she stepped through the curtain, the mysterious Lyra Valkyria was just as impressive during her match against Dani Palmer as she was during her spellbinding entrance.

Unloading on Palmer with a picture-perfect hurricanrana and a northern lights suplex, the undefeated Valkyria earned a long two-count in the early goings.

Palmer, who recently picked up her first career win against Lola Vice on NXT Level Up, got back in the fight when she executed a sleeper and held on for some time. Nevertheless, Valkyria soon dodged her airborne opponent and landed a savage spinning roundhouse kick for the win.

Eddy Thorpe def. Xyon Quinn

Now 3-0 with wins against Dante Chen, Oro Mensah and Xyon Quinn, Eddy Thorpe seems to be making believers out of the WWE Universe.

Tasked with battling a much more experienced adversary, Thorpe defied the odds by withstanding several brutal strikes from Quinn, who was laughing before the bell and seemed to believe he would defeat Thorpe with ease.

Despite Quinn’s bluster, Thorpe stunned his opponent with a German suplex and the decisive swinging neckbreaker.

Charlie Dempsey def. Oro Mensah via Submission

As if Charlie Dempsey wasn’t dangerous enough on his own, the deadly serious mat grappler is now receiving tutelage from the no-nonsense Drew Gulak.

Attempting to deal Dempsey his first loss on NXT Level Up, Mensah took to the skies early and often and nearly picked up the win when he took down his foe with a springboard kick to the jaw.

After kicking out at two, Dempsey soon snatched Mensah in an excruciating ankle lock, through Mensah refused to submit. A seemingly irritated Dempsey transitioned into an even more painful submission hold, placing his forearm across Mensah’s face and bending his opponent’s left leg to the back of Mensah’s head to finally secure the tapout.
