SCRYPTS def. Brooks Jensen
Brooks Jensen seems committed to making his mark as a singles competitor, though it’s fair to wonder if he may have preferred to have some backup for his clash with SCRYPTS.
SCRYPTS, who was supported by fellow OTM members Jaida Parker, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, received several assists throughout the fight. The three Superstars first struck when they trash-talked Jensen while he was reentering the ring, allowing SCRYPTS to take down his opponent with a nasty chop block.
Jensen caught fire with several clotheslines and a back body drop, but Parker punched Jensen in the back of the knee when the official was again distracted, allowing SCRYPTS to hit a decisive handspring cutter.
Jacy Jayne def. Carlee Bright
Seemingly excited by the prospect of facing a former titleholder in her first WWE match, Carlee Bright bounded to the ring with the poise and confidence of a seasoned vet for her bout with Jacy Jayne.
A former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, Jayne tried to intimidate her rookie foe in the early goings, but “The Ray of Sunshine” surprised the Chase University student by out-grappling her and nearly scoring the three-count with a crafty rollup.
Moments later, however, Jayne landed the Rolling Encore for the victory.
Charlie Dempsey & Damon Kemp def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger likely had a difficult time scouting their opponents since – per the “Catch Clause” – they had no way of knowing which two members of No Quarter Catch Crew they would face.
Just before the bell, Charlie Dempsey and Damon Kemp stepped forth, and the duo expertly cut the ring in half, kept Walker isolated and dropped him with consecutive German suplexes.
Ledger eventually received the tag and obliterated his opponents with heavy strikes, but Drew Gulak and Myles Borne distracted the referee. Though Ledger clocked both, the distraction allowed Kemp to defeat Ledger with a modified uranage.
