Riley Osborne def. Kale Dixon
Representing Chase University, Riley Osborne received a raucous ovation from the NXT Universe upon bounding to the ring.
His opponent, Kale Dixon, was not quite as friendly, as he landed a dropkick that sent Osborne plummeting through the ropes to the ringside floor while dishing out some trash talk.
Once Osborne took to the skies, however, there was no stopping the highflyer, who shook off a few nasty kicks from Dixon and sealed the win with a breathtaking shooting star press.
Karmen Petrovic def. Wren Sinclair
Karmen Petrovic has recently accepted guidance from Natalya, and the bold career move is already paying dividends.
Always a fearsome striker, Petrovic incorporated some mat-grappling into her approach, largely controlling her bout with energetic rookie Wren Sinclair.
Sinclair showed impressive resilience and stayed in the fight as long as she could, but Petrovic swept her foe’s leg, then landed a nasty martial arts kick to the back of the downed Sinclair for the three-count.
Hank Walker & Tank Ledger def. Javier Bernal & Drake Morreaux
Riding high after their hard-earned victory against Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont in a Best of Three Series, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger picked up where they left off by bringing the fisticuffs for their clash with Javier Bernal and Drake Morreaux.
Bernal, who has made a habit of cycling through tag team partners, found himself hurled around the ring by Ledger in the early goings and immediately tagged in Morreaux. Morreaux also found himself in a bad way when he was sandwiched between each of his hard-charging opponents.
Morreaux eventually got on track and nearly turned Walker inside out with a punishing clothesline, but Hank & Tank rallied and teamed up for the Collision Course, which enabled Walker to pin Big Body Javi.
