WWE Hell in a Cell
Match Preview
Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair (Hell in a Cell Match)
Already revolutionaries, WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and bitter rival Charlotte Flair will make history yet again on Oct. 30 when they become the first female Superstars ever to battle inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell.
Raw General Manager Mick Foley and Commissioner Stephanie McMahon approved the stipulation, which was suggested by Banks, on the Oct. 10 edition of Raw, further intensifying what was already going to be a fiery clash.
Sasha is defending the prestigious championship in front of her home crowd at TD Garden in Boston. Although the home-arena advantage will undoubtedly benefit The Boss, Charlotte will likely remain undeterred.
After all, the two Superstars have traded the Raw Women’s Championship since its inception at WrestleMania 32, each competitor having held it twice. As insurance, Charlotte may have her protégé, Dana Brooke, at ringside, but her presence is unlikely to affect the proceedings, thanks to the Cell’s 20-foot-high steel walls, roof and locked door.
Which woman will emerge from “Hell” holding the Raw Women’s Championship on high? How will this milestone for female competition in WWE further reshape the division on Raw — and SmackDown — for years to come? Find out when WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 airs live Sunday, Oct. 30, on the award-winning WWE Network.
