Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders fought before their match could take place
While The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders didn’t wage a war in the ring for the Raw Tag Team Titles as expected, they did treat the WWE Universe to a surreal brawl at WWE Backlash.
The fisticuffs began in the parking lot with the incidental destruction of Braun Strowman’s car before spilling into the WWE Performance Center.
Channeling the prowess he recently demonstrated on Raw, Ivar sent a bowling ball straight into Montez Ford’s groin. The combatants moved back outside after Ivar and Angelo Dawkins went through a glass door, but they soon found themselves encircled by an apparent ninja motorbike gang, led by none other than former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa.
Temporarily joining forces as The Viking Profits, the foursome mowed them down one at a time until Tozawa revealed a giant masked ninja nearly twice his size, fully equipped with a sword.
Fleeing atop a WWE semitruck, the temporary allies renewed hostilities before all four fell below into a dumpster, highlighted by an encore edition of “Air Ivar.” With their crash-landing apparently stirring a growling beast awake, all four men quickly exited to instead continue their rivalry on another day.
