Notre Dame's Brian Kelly congratulates Sheamus

Sheamus shocked the world when he became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Survivor Series, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and defeating Roman Reigns. Of course, Reigns himself had won the championship by defeating Dean Ambrose just moments earlier.

The Celtic Warrior's opportunistic victory sent shock waves beyond the WWE Universe, with the University of Notre Dame's head football coach taking notice.

Before Notre Dame's game against Wake Forest a few weeks ago, Sheamus visited the University of Notre Dame and attended the football team's pep rally, presenting Coach Kelly with a custom WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Celtic Warrior also provided the voiceover for a trailer before the Fighting Irish's game against Boston College.
