Megan Rapinoe celebrates with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Following their domination in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, the United States Women's National Soccer Team has now laid claim to three world championships – the most in Women's World Cup history. To help the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team celebrate, WWE sent an additional accolade: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Before the team was honored in New York City with a rare ticker tape parade, midfielder and Olympic gold medalist Megan Rapinoe proudly sported the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Rapinoe scored two goals in the team's first group stage match against Australia, leading to a 3-1 victory.
