Edge shocked the world at New Year's Revolution 2006 by cashing in his Money in the Bank Contract on WWE Champion John Cena after Cena's gutsy title defense in an Elimination Chamber Match.
The win marked the first world title victory for Edge, who was partners-in-crime with fellow future WWE Hall of Famer Lita.
The Rated-R Superstar and The Cenation Leader collided later that month at WWE Royal Rumble.
Cena prevailed in the rematch.
A disguised Edge ambushed Cena during a title defense that June at ECW One Night Stand, causing Cena to lose the WWE Championship to Rob Van Dam.
Cena, Edge and RVD clashed in a WWE Title Triple Threat Match on Raw on July 3, 2006.
