The Rock to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Walk of Fame Selection Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has revealed that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is among the entertainment icons who will be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard in 2017.

The Rock joins an elite class of motion pictures honorees including Amy Adams, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pratt and Goldie Hawn. The People's Champ becomes the first former WWE Champion to receive a star on the legendary street. In 2008, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his groundbreaking contribuitions to television.

The Walk of Fame Selection Committee honors entertainers and personalities who contribute to motion pictures, television, radio, recording and live theater/performance. Also being honored in the recording category is WrestleMania XXIV performer John Legend.
