Legendary Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee will make his ring-announcing debut this Sunday at NXT Live in Indy, but he’s not waiting until then to mix it up with one of the black-and-yellow brand’s most irreverent Superstars, Adam Cole.
Cole targeted McAfee first via Twitter Wednesday night. Declaring that NXT is “his” show, Cole warned the beloved Colt-turned-podcaster and radio show host to steer clear of The Panama City Playboy when McAfee handles the introductions for Sunday’s Six-Man Tag Team Match between Undisputed ERA and Kassius Ohno & Street Profits.
Never one to be easily intimidated, McAfee cranked out a fiery response Thursday morning. The Indy favorite known as “Boomstick” even suggested that he might have a “real superkick” waiting for Cole, should the Undisputed ERA front-man step out of line:
McAfee, who has spoken in the past about his childhood dream of becoming a wrestler, then doubled down on his fighting words Thursday morning on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“There is about 100-percent chance that this right foot of mine that has kicked a football 80 to 90 yards at a time, has been called the strongest leg in the history of earth — I’ve kicked a soccer ball 125 miles an hour, and I’m going to kick his chin from Indianapolis to Columbus, Ohio,” he said.
Something tells us this one won’t end pretty. A limited number of tickets for this weekend’s NXT tour of the Midwest, including NXT Live in Indianapolis, are available now at NXTtickets.com.
