Je'Von Evans wins Battle Royal to become No. 1 Contender to NXT Title
The Young OG punched his ticket to NXT Heatwave by outlasting twenty four other Superstars to win the No. 1 Contender Battle Royal.
Competitors came far and wide, including SmackDown's Tyler Bate and Apollo Crews, as well as TNA's Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian.
Bodies flew, chaos reigned, and the field slowly whittled to just Kazarian, SmackDown's Dragon Lee, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears.
Lee didn't realize that Spears was still a legal competitor as the electrifying luchador was tossed off the top rope to the outside.
With just Evans and Spears left, The Young OG proved that he's worthy as he used his incredible offense to stun his opponent before tossing him over the top rope.
Roxanne Perez & Lola Vice def. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson and Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx
NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez's partnership with Lola Vice was a short but successful one as the duo defeated Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson and Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
With three Superstars legal at one time, the action became fast and frenetic in a hurry as each team worked quickly to try and pick up a pinfall.
Legend and Jackson seemingly had the match won, but Nyx broke the fall up before hitting a perfect Pele Kick on Legend.
Vice took advantage by hitting her signature 305 backfist, only for Perez to tag her out and hit Pop Rox to win the bout.
After the match, Perez punched and kicked her teammate, signaling that she doesn't need anyone by her side.
NXT Women's North American Champion Kelani Jordan def. Michin
Kelani Jordan made history by successfully defending her NXT Women's North American Title for the very first time as she took down a very tough Michin.
After a show of sportsmanship with a handshake, the two Superstars proceeded to do everything in their power walk away as the champion.
Jordan found herself in a lot of trouble after a devastating Pounce and a series of suplexes, but the champion countered an Electric Chair into a Poison Rana to level the playing field.
OTM appeared out of nowhere and distracted Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, allowing Jaida Parker to throw Michin off the top rope, which then in turn helped Jordan hit a Split Legged Moonsault to win the match.
Fallon Henley def. Carlee Bright
With the NXT Women's North American Championship now established, Fallon Henley was out to prove a point against the rookie Carlee Bright.
Henley's energy was matched by Bright, but Wendy Choo appeared at ringside and took out Kendal Grey which rattled the newcomer.
With Grey down and out, Bright couldn't regain the momentum as Henley nailed a Shining Wizard to put her name back in the championship conversation.
Chase U def. The O.C.
In one of the biggest teachable moments he's had in months, Andre Chase led his team to a huge victory over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in tag team action.
Chase used his deceptive athleticism to stagger Gallows and Anderson, giving his team the momentum before tagging in Chase U's MVP, Duke Hudson.
After Chase took out Gallows on the outside, Hudson rolled up Anderson and stunningly got the pin, causing Anderson to protest that someone did something illegal.
Ethan Page def. Je'Von Evans
Ethan Page sent a message to NXT Champion Trick Williams by defeating No. 1 Contender Je'Von Evans in singles action.
Evans won the No. 1 Contender Battle Royal earlier in the night, but Page was never technically eliminated as he was taken out and sent through the middle rope by Oro Mensah.
Page tormented The Young OG, but Evans refused to give in without a fight as he kept finding ways to reverse his opponent.
Evans scaled to the top rope, but he was hung up by Page who proceeded to hit an Ego's Edge and win his NXT match in NXT.
