WWE Mixed Match Challenge preview: Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair & Bobby Roode

It’s do or die tonight in the second WWE Mixed Match Challenge Semifinal, as SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Bobby Roode will go head-to-head against Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks, the winners of last week’s Second Chance Vote. Whoever emerges victorious will take on Intercontinental Champion The Miz & the undefeated Asuka next week in the WWE MMC Finals.

Last night, both teams commented on their imminent showdown on Facebook Watch:

The charismatic team of Bálor & Banks kicked off the groundbreaking tournament in Week 1 with a tough win over Shinsuke Nakamura & Natalya, but their hopes for triumph came crashing down when they were defeated in a hard-fought second-round contest against “Team Awe-ska.” Nevertheless, the WWE Universe made it very clear that they wanted “The Boss Club” back in the mix, handing them an incredible 40 percent of the Second Chance Vote. Now that The Boss and The Extraordinary Man have their names back in the brackets, a victory over Flair & Roode would set up a rematch against the very team that defeated them in the first place. However, getting to that point will be much easier said than done.

Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks are proud to be partnering with Special Olympics, which takes on the mission of providing year-round athletic training to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Watch WWE Mixed Match Challenge, Tuesdays at 10 ET/7 PT on Facebook Watch.

Enter “The Robe Warriors.” The daunting tandem of the six-time Women’s Champion and the former United States Champion have journeyed into the semifinals in glorious fashion, overcoming Apollo & Nia Jax and the husband/wife team of Rusev & Lana, respectively. The first tandem that General Manager Danial Bryan selected to represent SmackDown LIVE now stands as Team Blue’s last remaining representatives in the competition. Luckily for the blue brand, Roode & Flair happen to be two Superstars who thrive on pressure and possess the skill that could very well make them the last mixed tag team standing.

Charlotte Flair & Bobby Roode are proud to represent their charity partner Girl Up, an initiative that inspires and connects girls globally. Don't miss WWE Mixed Match Challenge, Tuesdays at 10 ET/ 7 PT, exclusively on Facebook Watch.

Two weeks ago, Flair & Roode specifically mentioned Bálor & Banks when they were asked which team they’d like to see reenter the tournament. It is therefore safe to say that both teams are excited about their next big challenge.

Will the finals of WWE MMC be a second-round rematch or a prelude to WrestleMania’s highly anticipated SmackDown Women’s Championship bout? Find out tonight at 10 ET/7 PT, exclusively on Facebook Watch.
