Valentina Feroz & Amari Miller def. Katrina Cortez & Yulisa Leon
After each defeating the other in a pair of singles matches and forming a mutual respect, Valentina Feroz and Amari Miller joined forces to tangle with Katrina Cortez and Yulisa Leon, who were also teaming together for the first time.
Leon, in fact, was making her WWE debut after winning three gold medals at the 2019 Weightlifting World Cup, and she put those skill to good use when she clobbered Feroz with a forearm strike and sent her flying across the canvas with a top-rope arm drag, teeing up Cortez to land a pinpoint dropkick.
Once all four competitors began brawling, Miller took advantage of the commotion by dropping Leon face-first into her knee with the Kansas City Knockout to secure the 1-2-3 for the intriguing new duo.
Duke Hudson def. Malik Blade
As Nigel McGuiness said while Duke Hudson was sauntering to the squared circle, “We might as well call it 6-foot-5 Live.”
The towering Hudson, who is renowned for his poker skills and claims to be just as proficient at getting inside the heads of opponents inside the ring as he is at the card table, effortlessly tossed Malik Blade out of the squared circle and immediately began talking trash.
Much to Hudson’s surprise, however, the scrappy Blade took down his much larger foe with a drop toehold, a dropkick and a picture-perfect crossbody from the top rope that drew a two-count. Hudson responded by obliterating Blade with a right hand and smashing him face-first into the canvas to earn the victory, telling him “Better luck next time” as he smirked and exited.
Xyon Quinn def. Jeet Rama
The WWE Universe is certain to be thankful for 205 Live’s new policy of welcoming competitors of all weight classes, as Xyon Quinn and Jeet Rama threw down in a colossal main event.
Quinn, who entered on a five-match winning streak and has already established himself as one of the must-see Superstars of the NXT 2.0 era, shook hands with Rama prior to the bell but showed zero mercy once it rang, wearing down his foe in the early goings and planting him with a ring-rattling slam.
Rama remained fearless against his intimidating opponent, viciously flinging Quinn into the turnbuckles to get himself a reprieve.
It was only a matter of time before Quinn got back on track, however, and he sealed the win with a Samoan drop followed by a savage blow to the head. Rama raised Quinn’s arm after the bell, and the two Superstars embraced as 205 Live concluded.
